Following last weekend’s celebration of 30 years of Electric Daisy Carnival, EDC Las Vegas organizer Insomniac has unveiled a new “Dusk Till Dawn” concept for the 2027 edition. Returning to its home at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, EDC Las Vegas 2027 will span two consecutive weekends across 12 days, a major reinvention of the festival’s long-running format.

How the Two-Weekend Format Works
The reimagined festival splits into two halves: EDC Dusk runs May 14 to 16 and EDC Dawn runs May 21 to 23, with the full “Dusk Till Dawn Experience” stretching from May 13 to 24. Headliners can choose their own path, attending the first weekend, the second weekend, or both. Across those 12 days, the experience also extends beyond the Speedway with curated, EDC-themed events throughout Las Vegas, effectively turning the whole city into part of the festival.
Pasquale Rotella on the New Era
“I’m really excited to introduce ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ as the next evolution of EDC and offer new ways for Headliners to experience the music, art, connection and community that make this festival so special. We wanted to reimagine EDC as a new type of immersive journey across 12 days and two consecutive weekend celebrations in one city we love. This concept gives Headliners the freedom to choose their own path and join us for one or both weekends, while enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments Under the Electric Sky.”
Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac Founder
A Lower-Capacity, More Spacious EDC
Notably, the 2027 festival is being designed with lower daily capacity, aimed at giving Headliners more space on the dancefloor and making travel and accommodation easier, two of the most common pain points for the hundreds of thousands of fans who descend on Las Vegas each year. Details on the 2027 artist lineups, themes, stage programming and citywide events are set to be announced at a later date.
30 Years Under the Electric Sky
The reinvention arrives as EDC marks three decades as one of the most influential brands in dance music. After growing out of the 1990s Southern California rave scene, the festival relocated to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2011 and has since become one of the largest electronic music events in the world, famous for its sunrise sets, towering stages and “Under the Electric Sky” identity. The move to a two-weekend, lower-capacity model marks one of the boldest format changes in its history.
