Mochakk and Channel Tres have teamed up for the first time on “Neckwear”, a percussive club single released on October 16 through MOTRAXX and Bose Records. The Mochakk Channel Tres Neckwear link up pairs the Brazilian DJ’s groove driven production with the Compton artist’s low, unhurried baritone, and it arrives one week before Mochakk headlines a sold out Amsterdam Dance Event show at the Gashouder.

What “Neckwear” sounds like

The track opens on bare hi hats and claps before dropping into a sparse, heavy groove of sliding bass, synth blips and amplified drums. Channel Tres rides it in the relaxed, half spoken delivery that runs through his catalog, a style he calls “Compton house”: Chicago and Detroit rhythms with West Coast rap attitude on top. Beatportal called the record a massive percussive anthem, while EDMTunes and The Nocturnal Times both described it as a tool built for big rooms.

Neither artist has shared a statement on how the collaboration came together, and none of the launch coverage carries direct quotes from either camp. What is on the record is the release itself, which went live on all major streaming platforms on Friday.

Why the Mochakk Channel Tres Neckwear release matters

For Mochakk, born Pedro Maia, “Neckwear” is the first official release on MOTRAXX, the label he launched in 2025 to support up and coming Brazilian producers, according to Beatportal. It follows his Da Fonk remix package and closes out a year in which he played Coachella in April and finished 46th in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2026 poll.

The Bose Records co release is the other notable detail. EDMTunes reports that Mochakk will also play an invite only Amsterdam performance as part of a new Bose live music series during the same trip, which suggests the audio brand is building a broader artist program around this release rather than a one off placement.

For Channel Tres, the single puts his Compton house sound in front of the large Brazilian house audience that has grown around Mochakk, a crowd that rarely overlaps with his core West Coast fanbase.

Mochakk’s 2026 run and what comes next

The single lands at the end of a heavy touring year. Over the summer Mochakk threw a Tricks & Tracks block party at Brooklyn Banks on August 28 and sold out headline sets at Under the K Bridge and RUINS at Knockdown Center the same weekend. He then returned to São Paulo for a Mochakk Calling edition on October 3. Longtime readers will remember he made headlines when he halted a Circoloco Ibiza set to help an unconscious attendee.

Next up is the Gashouder in Amsterdam on Friday, October 23, one of the marquee nights of the 30th edition of ADE. EDMTunes also reports that he appears on the cover of Vogue Man Netherlands that same week. It is the obvious stage for “Neckwear” to get its first big room test, although neither camp has confirmed a live debut or a joint appearance with Channel Tres.
