Insomniac has revealed the EDSea 2027 lineup, and the floating festival is coming back with one of its widest bills yet. Diplo, Fatboy Slim, Boys Noize, SLANDER, Chris Lorenzo and Walker & Royce lead more than 50 acts booked for five nights aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Joy, which sails from PortMiami on January 26, 2027 and returns January 31 after a stop at Harvest Caye, Belize. The announcement landed on October 19, and the cabins it is selling were already gone before a single DJ was named.

Who is on the EDSea 2027 lineup
The poster reads like four festivals stacked on one ship. The announcement names the headliners as Boys Noize, Chris Lorenzo, Crankdat, Diplo, Fatboy Slim, Layton Giordani, Max Styler, NGHTMRE, SLANDER and Tape B. Boys Noize is billed for an island set at Harvest Caye rather than a slot on board.
For house fans, the depth is in the middle of the poster:
- House and tech house: Walker & Royce, Justin Martin, Matroda, ACRAZE, Kaleena Zanders, San Pacho, HNTR, Juos, Bolo, Kinahau and Mellizos.
- Techno and hard groove: VTSS, Clara Cuvé, Adrián Mills, Rommii, DJ Guestlist and Serafina.
- Bass: SLANDER (plus its Before Dawn project), San Holo, NGHTMRE, Jai Wolf, TroyBoi, Wooli, Kompany, Avello and Casey Club.
One small discrepancy is worth noting. EDM.com’s write up did not name Diplo among the headliners, while EDMTunes and the press text carried by other outlets did. The official lineup graphic settles it: Diplo is on the bill.
Sold out before the names arrived
The most telling detail sits outside the lineup. According to EDM.com, the 2027 sailing sold out on its first on sale without any artists announced, and the ship was full when the bill went public. Anyone still hoping to board has one route left: Insomniac’s First Available Program, which releases cabins that open up in the months before departure.
That is a strong signal for a format that only started in 2023. EDSea is produced by Insomniac with cruise music specialist Sixthman and destination events company Vibee, and it has completed three sailings so far. Earlier editions put Disclosure, Jamie Jones, Sara Landry, Alok, BLOND:ISH and Vintage Culture on deck, according to EDMTunes. The festival skipped 2026 entirely and moved from its earlier November dates to late January, a change organizers tied to calmer seas and more reliable weather.

What the trip looks like
The Norwegian Joy is a 15 deck ship, and Insomniac is spreading the music across nine stages, from poolside deck takeovers to club sized rooms below. Themed costume nights, art installations and DJ hosted activities run alongside the standard cruise amenities, and the official site lists extras such as go karting on board.
The biggest change for 2027 is time on land. Organizers are adding extra hours at Harvest Caye so headliners can play longer and passengers can actually explore the island instead of rushing back to the gangway. Boys Noize’s island set is the anchor of that day. The cruise is 21 and over.

Why it matters for Insomniac
EDSea is a small piece of a much larger operation, but it shows how Insomniac keeps stretching the EDC brand into new formats. The company is already rolling out new experiences for EDC Las Vegas 2027, and a sold out ship with no lineup proves the brand alone can move inventory. For artists, a cruise booking means multiple sets and a captive, committed crowd. For fans of house, the mix of Fatboy Slim’s big beat history, Walker & Royce’s party records and Chris Lorenzo’s bass heavy house gives the ship a clear identity next to its dubstep rooms. If you want a primer on the most famous name on the poster, our piece on Fatboy Slim facts is a good place to start.

What happens next
Set times and stage assignments have not been published yet. Cabin details, the First Available waitlist and travel information live on the official EDSea website. With the ship already full, the next news to watch is whether Insomniac adds more names or special sets before the January departure.
