Snoop Dogg has spent three decades as one of the defining voices of West Coast rap. On Friday, October 16, he stepped fully onto the dancefloor. HUGEL and Snoop Dogg released H.O.U.S.E., a new single that drops the Long Beach legend into the Latin house groove the French producer has turned into a global formula.
The track is out now on Make The Girls Dance Records, the label HUGEL runs alongside his touring party brand. It clocks in at roughly two and a half minutes, short and built for the club, and it marks the first standalone single the pair have released together after months of sharing stages and studio time.

How HUGEL and Snoop Dogg found each other
The partnership did not start in a label boardroom. According to the release campaign, Snoop Dogg reached out to HUGEL directly through Instagram messages, and that exchange turned into an ongoing creative relationship. For HUGEL, who grew up in Marseille listening to rap long before he found house music, the single is framed as the payoff of a hip hop dream more than 20 years in the making.
The two first shared a stage in April at Coachella. HUGEL played his debut set at the festival in the Sahara tent on the Friday of Weekend 1, and Snoop Dogg walked out as a surprise guest, running through his classics over special edits HUGEL had prepared for the moment. Big Sean also joined the set, and HUGEL used the same appearance to announce his debut album.
From the Twenty One intro to a full HUGEL and Snoop Dogg single
Snoop was already part of that album. He opens HUGEL’s debut album Twenty One, handling the Intro before the record moves into features from David Guetta, French Montana, Big Sean and Ultra Naté. Twenty One debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Dance Albums chart and has since passed 650 million streams, according to the single’s press campaign.
H.O.U.S.E. takes that cameo and turns it into a proper collaboration. The production sits where HUGEL has lived for years: Latin percussion, a rolling bassline and a hook designed for big rooms, with Snoop’s laid back delivery riding on top. It is less a rap song with a dance remix and more a house record that happens to carry one of hip hop’s most recognizable voices.
In the studio
To mark the release, House Music US shared exclusive studio footage of the two artists on Instagram. In the clips, Snoop and HUGEL sit down together to talk through the track and the wider musical influences that brought a West Coast rap icon and a Marseille house producer into the same room. The cover art plays on the same mood: the pair side by side on a vintage sofa in a wood paneled den, cigars in hand.
Snoop Dogg’s long flirtation with dance music
This is not Snoop’s first trip to the club. His 2011 crossover with David Guetta, Sweat, became one of the biggest dance hits of that era and proved his voice could sit comfortably on a four to the floor beat. What makes H.O.U.S.E. different is the setting. Rather than a pop EDM remix, this is a record made inside a producer’s world, on his label, aimed at the same crowds that pack HUGEL’s shows in Ibiza and across the United States.
HUGEL’s biggest year yet
The timing fits a run that has pushed HUGEL from summer hitmaker to one of the most streamed names in dance music. Movin’ To The Sun, his album single with Imael Angel and Ultra Naté, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, and at one point it held the top spot on Shazam’s global ranking alongside his SOLTO collaboration Jamaican (Bam Bam). He now counts more than 40 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over five billion streams across his catalogue.
He has also scaled up his live business in North America, with headline shows in New York and Toronto playing to crowds of around 10,000 and 17,000, on top of his Ibiza residency at Hï and dates at Ushuaïa, XS Las Vegas and Encore Beach Club. A single with Snoop Dogg is the kind of crossover that can carry that momentum into rap audiences who have never been to a house night.
