GORDO’s TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza wrapped on 29 September after six straight Tuesdays that gave the club’s 2026 season a new midweek chapter. Running from 25 August to the closing party, the series became less about single lineups and more about building a world around TARAKA, with special guests, a fashion collaboration and plenty of room for GORDO to shape the sound week to week.

The run followed an early season preview at Pacha on Friday 1 May, and across the six Tuesdays the booth hosted names like Nicole Moudaber, Shimza, Patrick Topping, HoneyLuv, Vintage Culture and Roger Sanchez. Here are five moments that stood out from GORDO’s TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza.

1. Bad Gyal drops in on opening night

The residency got off to a flyer on 25 August, with GORDO joined by Vanjee, Wade, Gustavo Domínguez and Gala for the launch. Watching from the DJ booth was Spanish singer and songwriter Bad Gyal, an unexpected cameo for the first chapter. The night set the tone for the whole run, with GORDO moving through his bass heavy house and tech sound as the club filled from doors to close.

2. TARAKA gets its own Pacha Collection T-shirt

TARAKA also stepped off the dancefloor. GORDO and The Pacha Collection launched a limited edition TARAKA T-shirt created with the party’s creative director James Wrath. The oversized cream tee pairs a minimalist cherry motif on the front with a hand drawn character on the back, inspired by an encounter GORDO had during a late night on the island. Released in a limited run through The Pacha Collection, it works as a keepsake of the residency.

3. The Vintage Culture B2B

One of the key musical moments landed on 15 September, when GORDO went back to back with Vintage Culture on a bill that also featured Patrick Topping. Two artists with very different but complementary approaches met in the middle, and the result became one of the defining sets of the season.

“Of course, that B2B with Vintage Culture was a really special moment, it was one of those sets where everything just clicked. More than anything, though, I’m proud that TARAKA has developed its own identity. Every Tuesday the energy keeps growing, and that’s the best feeling I could ask for.”

4. Six weeks to build the TARAKA story at Pacha Ibiza

Instead of making an impression in a single night, GORDO had six consecutive Tuesdays to develop the party’s identity. The longer format let him change direction, experiment and respond to the crowd as the season moved on.

“A residency gives you the freedom to tell a bigger story. When you’re guesting somewhere, you have one night to make an impression. At TARAKA, I know people are coming for something deeper, such as the curated experience we’ve built together.”

That freedom also opened space for unreleased material, deeper selections and unexpected turns, with GORDO using the weeks to build a real relationship with the room. “When you have your own residency, you can really build that trust between the artist and the crowd which ultimately lets me be more creative,” he says.

5. Roger Sanchez tears the roof off at the closing party

For the final Tuesday on 29 September, Roger Sanchez brought his unmistakable house sound to TARAKA alongside GORDO, Gala and Abril Love. Among his selections was “Bandida” by Danny Roma, Manrix, Antho Decks and Angelo Sika, a contemporary club cut that sat right next to the classic house energy he is known for. It was a fitting send off: house music’s enduring influence meeting the forward facing energy that defined TARAKA all summer.

What’s next for TARAKA

With six weeks behind it, TARAKA leaves Ibiza as one of the season’s clearest new identities: a party with its own look, its own merch and a resident who used the time to go deeper rather than louder.
