AIRE Miami, a new open air house music club in Edgewater, opens its doors this week at 111 NE 20th Street, the courtyard that housed Boho Miami for six years. Club Space founder Louis Puig is part of the team behind it, and the venue says its programming will lean deep, rhythmic and soulful, with Gab Rhome, Steve Lawler’s Pendulum and Tim Green already on the calendar for its first two weekends.
AIRE Miami opening dates: what is confirmed
EDM.com broke the Puig angle on September 22, and Miami New Times first reported the handover from Boho last week. The official AIRE calendar fills in the detail:
- Wednesday, September 23: an Opening Week night with OOZZAA, Dmeyer b2b Marie Posa, Effectum 2, Naza Gold and Diego Domenianni, with Afrotek branding on the flyer.
- Thursday, September 24: the official Opening Night, with Siwell, Jude & Frank and Kanu.
- Friday, September 25: Gab Rhome, supported by Markem and Justm3rc.
- Saturday, September 26: Pendulum by Steve Lawler, with Ella Romand and Stefaina, after an afternoon happy hour.
- Friday, October 2: Tim Green, with Conosur, Goa ’98, Zezu b2b Yinn and Damian.
There is one small discrepancy. Hoodline and Miami New Times describe September 24 as the public preview and the start of opening weekend, while the venue’s own listings add a Wednesday night on September 23. Both versions agree that Thursday is the official opening. Doors are at 8pm, the club runs until 4am and entry is 21 and over.
Louis Puig and the Club Space connection
Puig opened Club Space in downtown Miami in March 2000, and the club became the anchor of the city’s after hours culture and a fixture of Miami Music Week. The City of Miami named October 15, 2025 “Louis Puig Day” in recognition of five decades in local nightlife, according to a release published by The National Law Review. His name on a new room carries weight with a generation of Miami clubbers who grew up on the Space terrace.
He is not doing it alone. Boho owner Jorge Moreno leads the project, with Poplife veteran Aramis Lorie, Travis Rogers and John Fortini also involved, per EDM.com and Miami New Times.
From Boho to AIRE: new club or rebrand?
How new AIRE is depends on who is telling the story. EDM.com frames it as a new venue with Puig among its founders. AIRE’s own site is more direct: same address, same ownership, same crew, a new name and a room rebuilt around the music. The bar, menu and look have been redone, while the open air courtyard stays.
Moreno explained the change in a statement shared with EDM.com. “Boho had a great six years, but the bohemian aesthetic became one of the most borrowed looks in hospitality,” he said, adding that when a look becomes that familiar, “the honest move is to stop repeating it rather than ride it down.”
The sound: deep and soulful house, played long
AIRE is positioning itself at the slower, more hypnotic end of the spectrum: deep house, Afro house, organic and melodic house. Residents will carry most of the week, with international guests on selected nights. Hoodline reports that Wednesdays will feature collaborations with Pitch Park and Afrotek, Thursdays will host a weekly ladies’ night, and weekends will rotate established DJs and promoters. Regular operations start on September 30.
The venue’s hours are the one detail still settling. The site lists the club as open Wednesday through Saturday in some places and Wednesday through Sunday in others, and a Sunday party, Artful by Andrea Quintero, is already listed for September 27. Check the calendar before heading out on a Sunday.
Why it matters for Miami’s club scene
Hoodline notes that Miami’s electronic scene is already crowded and dominated by larger downtown clubs. A ground level, open air courtyard focused on long sets offers a different format in a neighborhood that has filled with residential towers in recent years. The same report raises the obvious question: how a club running four or five nights a week will live alongside those new neighbors. AIRE also lands in a busy season for new club rooms, from Silencio’s takeover of the former Watergate in Berlin to Locker, the new club room at New Century in Manchester.
