AURA Festival Bulgaria will return from 19 to 21 June 2026 with a three-day programme described as its most ambitious edition to date. The festival will feature expanded capacity, extended operating hours until dawn, and a new location designed to support larger-scale immersive production.

New Location at Sofia Airport Park

For 2026, AURA Festival relocates to Sofia Airport Park, marking a significant change from previous editions. The new site allows the festival to operate overnight, with events running from 18:00 until 06:00, removing the former 23:00 curfew. Organisers say the move enables greater flexibility for large-scale staging, lighting, and sound design.

Bulgaria’s Growing Role as a Festival Destination

Bulgaria continues to emerge as a growing destination on the European festival circuit, attracting international audiences with its cultural identity and varied landscapes. With the country set to officially adopt the euro from 2026, travel is expected to become more streamlined, making the festival more accessible to visitors from across Europe.

The “Temple of EOS” Concept

The 2026 edition will be presented under the theme “Temple of EOS”, continuing AURA’s ongoing conceptual narrative. Across three nights, the site will be transformed into a multi-stage environment combining electronic music with large-scale stage architecture and visual installations. The concept centres on light, reflection, and transformation, with each night designed as a distinct chapter within a continuous weekend experience.

A Diverse Electronic Music Lineup

The AURA Festival 2026 lineup spans a wide range of electronic music styles, from melodic and progressive sounds to high-intensity techno. Armin van Buuren will bring his trance-led approach, while Dimitri Vegas and ALOK represent large-scale festival electronic and melodic house. Deeper and atmospheric sounds come from Mahmut Orhan, while the harder edge is covered by Italian techno duo 999999999 and Japanese DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, known for high-tempo, multi-genre rave-driven sets.

Additional artists announced include BIIA, Laura van Dam, Jesabel, MATTN, Topic, Avalan Rokston, Youna, Gallya, Bobe, and World Up DJs featuring Dimo BG, Milen DJ, Silver Ivanov, and Vasco C. Further programming details and stage breakdowns are expected in the coming months.

A New Chapter for AURA Festival

With its relocation to Sofia Airport Park, extended hours, and expanded production scope, AURA Festival 2026 represents a major evolution for the event as it enters its next phase. Organisers describe the upcoming edition as a key moment in the festival’s development, combining music, concept, and scale in a new setting.
