Bootshaus, the renowned electronic music venue in Cologne, has been ranked 4th Best Club in the World in The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025 list. The results were announced at the 10th Golden Moon Awards Gala held in Valencia, Spain.
Global Evaluation Across 73 Countries
The annual ranking is curated by the International Nightlife Association, which evaluates hundreds of nightlife venues through an expert jury assessment and a worldwide public vote. Bootshaus now stands alongside globally recognised clubs such as Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa Ibiza, and Green Valley.
Strong Winter Program Ahead
The honour arrives as Bootshaus continues a high-profile winter season. December programming includes:
• Above & Beyond on 5 December
• The return of elrow with its immersive production on 12 December
• Kevin de Vries & Kölsch on 13 December
• Oliver Magenta & Friends on 14 December
The year will conclude with Bootshaus pres. Avaion and the Loonyland Silvester 2025 celebrations.
Three Decades of Club Culture
Originally opened in 1991 as Warehouse and later relaunched as Bootshaus in 2005, the club has become known for forward-thinking bookings across melodic house, techno, bass, dubstep and hardstyle. Bootshaus is recognised for maintaining a stripped-back ethos that prioritises music, atmosphere and community over luxury.
Its long-running in-house brands, including Loonyland, Blacklist, Unreal and Nibirii, play a key role in shaping the club’s identity and ongoing programming.

Situated in a repurposed shipyard warehouse, Bootshaus features three main rooms:

All rooms are equipped with advanced audio-visual systems, including Funktion-One and Seeburg Audio sound, along with high-impact lighting, lasers and effects.
