Tiësto has formally returned to the trance genre that first defined his career. After rising to global prominence in the early 2000s as one of trance’s most influential figures, he later shifted toward a more commercial, mainstream electronic sound. Now, he begins a new era by revisiting the style that shaped his early success.

New Single and New Era

Tiësto has released a new single titled Bring Me To Life, a collaboration with FORS that marks his official move back into trance. Ahead of the release, Tiësto cleared his Instagram and introduced a new logo inspired by his 1999 emblem used during his Live at Innercity Amsterdam era. The reset signals the start of a renewed artistic direction.

Dreamstate Trance Set Ahead

On Saturday, November 22nd, Tiësto will perform a trance set at Dreamstate in Long Beach, where he is expected to play the new single alongside his classic trance catalog. The performance will give fans their first look at what this return to trance will sound like in a live setting, and whether more trance productions are coming.

Modern Trance Sound

Bring Me To Life is described as a modern take on trance, featuring production elements and uplifting breaks typical of the genre. The track includes prominent vocal work and melodic leads, aligning it with the characteristics of classic trance while applying updated production techniques.

Anticipation From Longtime Fans

Many longtime followers who experienced Tiësto’s early trance years have been anticipating a return to the genre. While his recent commercial releases have performed well globally, this new phase is seen as a reconnection with the audience that supported him during his earliest career milestones.

Looking Toward the Future

His set at Dreamstate SoCal will likely offer further insight into the direction of his new era and whether additional trance releases are planned. Fans and industry observers will be watching to see how Tiësto develops this return to his foundational sound.
