In one of the most creative fundraising efforts to date, Birmingham-based DJ and streamer Andy Gulch is preparing to cycle over 1,400 miles to Ibiza, while DJing live the entire way. With a custom-built cargo bike equipped with decks, speakers, and livestreaming gear, Gulch will ride from the UK all the way to the White Isle to raise money for two causes close to his heart: Birmingham Children’s Hospital and The Albion Foundation.
A 1,450-Mile Musical Mission
Gulch’s ambitious journey kicks off on July 10, as he departs from Birmingham and heads to the south coast of England. From there, he’ll ride through France and Spain, navigating everything from city traffic to mountainous terrain—all while spinning tracks from the saddle.
His goal? To become the first person to DJ and cycle from the UK to Ibiza, all in a bid to raise £20,000 for the two charities. To make the mission even more impactful, Gulch will be livestreaming the entire adventure, sharing daily updates and mixes across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Following in Fundraising Footsteps
Gulch’s idea comes on the heels of another impressive feat: last year, Henry Moores, a 21-year-old fundraiser, walked from Manchester to Ibiza, raising over £125,000 for the Tony Hudgell Foundation. Moores also completed a previous walk from Macclesfield to Paris, raising nearly £20,000. Inspired by this spirit, Gulch is blending music, movement, and mission in a way the electronic music world hasn’t seen before.
How to Support
Fans, friends, and fellow music lovers can support Gulch’s cause by donating via his Givestar page. Even small contributions go a long way in helping him reach his £20,000 goal. More importantly, they help fund the incredible work being done by Birmingham Children’s Hospital and The Albion Foundation, two organizations focused on supporting young lives and communities through healthcare and sport.
Not Just a Ride
Gulch’s challenge is more than a physical test. It’s a celebration of music culture, endurance, and purpose. By turning his journey into one long continuous DJ set, he’s proving that you don’t need a nightclub or festival stage to make an impact, you just need passion, pedals, and purpose.
Whether he’s riding through English countryside or coasting along the Spanish coast, one thing’s for sure: this is going to be the loudest ride to Ibiza ever attempted.
